Detoxification-Wheat Grass

Detoxification is the biochemical process that transforms non-water-soluble toxins and metabolites into water-soluble compounds that can be excreted in urine, sweat, bile or stool. Our body undergoes lots of wear and tear both inside and outside. Hence, body has to be detoxified in order for it to function properly and to promote general health and well-being.

Wheat grass for detoxification!!!

Wheatgrass is one of the so-called green foods that are valued by health-conscious individuals as a great natural source of nutrients. Wheat grass consists primarily of chlorophyll that heals the tissues, cleanses the blood, organs and gastro-intestinal tract of debris. It is a source of beta carotene, vitamins B, C, E, and K, and it contains many different minerals and amino acids. Because chlorophyll is anti-bacterial, wheatgrass juice can be used inside and outside of the body for healing.

Tips: Place a handful of wheatgrass in your juicer to extract the wheatgrass juice. Continue adding wheatgrass until you have juiced your desired amount. Begin with 1 glass of wheatgrass juice per day.

  1. Here is a tip that I have begun to do. Since the pulp has loads of fiber and since I don’t want to miss out on any of the nutrients.

Take your blended slurry and pour it into ice trays as evenly as possible. Place it in the freezer and let sit over night. In the morning add a cube (roughly 1oz) to your shake or smoothly and blend.

The fiber will be cut into small enough pieces that you barely notice them and the body has an opportunity to utilize virtually everything.
